He Loves and He Shows PDF Print E-mail

Hello All,Todd_BW2

As we are captivated by who Father God is and not by what He does, we enter into another level of revelation and inheritance.  Let me illustrate with a passage from Ephesians…

Eph 1:18
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,   NKJV

I believe it is in that place of being captivated by Him that our understanding is enlightened to know Him…when He speaks and it bypasses the intellect and goes straight to the heart.  During those times there is an acceleration of revelation…when you sense a shift in your being…an internal transformation that works its way out to the world around you. When that shift takes place you begin to see yourself in your inheritance…not waiting for it to come.  It propels you to be an expression of Jesus on the earth, that He might receive the glory.

2 Cor 5:14-15
14 For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died;
15 And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake. AMP

Through these encounters with His love, where our understanding is enlightened and we see ourselves in our inheritance, we are controlled, urged and impelled to live “for Him.”  It doesn’t come from a desire to please Him, but from a desire to simply be with Him.  Jesus said that He only did what He saw His Father doing…He didn’t do it to “perform well” for His Father…He did it because He was so intimately connected to the Father.

John 5:19-20
19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.  20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.  NKJV

What He did was directly connected to who He was…His motivation was the love of his Father…not to gain it, but because He had it!  His identity came from the love relationship that He had with the Father and it “controlled and urged and impelled” Him to do the works.  In verse 20 we see that His love brings us into revelation…“For the Father loves…and shows.”  Think about that for just a moment…He loves and He shows…It is from times of intimacy that His heart is revealed.  When we encounter His love our natural response is to walk in our inheritance and do what we see Him doing!

I love you all and can’t wait to see you on Sunday,
Todd
