Hello All,

As I sat down to write the Lord began to speak to my heart about something we looked at last night in the book of Ephesians…which is our imagination or creativity.  I believe a life of expectancy, which boldly declares the truth of God’s word, is directly connected to a heart that can still dream with God.  Our imagination/creativity is a gift from God…and if we do not understand that…it will directly affect our ability to believe God for the impossible.  We see in Ephesians that Paul prayed for the church…that their understanding (literally their imagination) would be enlightened by the Spirit…

Eph 1:18
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, NKJV

I know this may sound a little awkward to you, but our ability to dream with God and to see things from His perspective are directly connected to our expectations and declarations.  I will define some of the words in the above passage to clarify what I am saying.

Understanding – NT:1271 – dianoia – intellect, mind, an operation of the understanding, thought or imagination
Enlightened – NT5461 – photizo– to enlighten, to give light to…in a spiritual sense
Know – NT:1492 – eido = to perceive (see) with the eyes; to perceive with any of the senses

As we have our thoughts and imaginations enlightened by the Holy Spirit it causes us to know (literally…to see) the hope of His calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.  Did you catch that…the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance is in us…we carry, in our born-again spirit, the riches (literally…the wealth or abundance) of His glory.  God is so much bigger than our perception of Him and as we begin to dream with Him we will begin to “see” the “exceedingly abundantly above” in our lives.

Eph 3:20
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  NKJV

This passage says that God is able to do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.”  I have defined the word “think” because it goes perfectly with our verse in Ephesians…

Think – to exercise the mind (Strong’s)

Wow, as we “exercise” our minds we open the door for Him to abundantly work and move in and through us.  My belief is that as we dream with Him we grow in our ability to believe beyond what was previously our ceiling…and Jesus encouraged us that all things are possible to him that believes…
